Pathologic (2005)

General

  • Yes?
  • What?
  • The one who does not trust himself should be reasonably silent.
  • I have a hole under my heart.
  • What is wrong with my eyes?
  • Perhaps it is better to be turned inside out?
  • Needles still stick out of me.
  • Better not ask. Silence is golden.
  • Shabnak-adyr wanders in the town streets, as if balicus [sic- bacillus?] run in his veins.
  • Any lie will appear the truth. You should not use cunning with the Land.
  • People often do good only to find an opportunity to do harm unpunishedly.

Day 1

  • (Bachelor) What is this cry in Apiary? Whom do they call?
  • (Bachelor) The Land has cast out a monster from the bowels to bridle his impudence.

Day 2

  • (Bachelor) If only the dead Mistresses have not entered the struggle of families.
  • (Bachelor) Haruspicus cannot be stopped. Whom will he choose an ally?
  • (Haruspex) The Devotress has forced the Olgimsky to stop the requisition. Hmm... she is strong, this monster.
  • (Haruspex) Who is she? What goal is she striving for?
  • (Changeling) What the brothers architects have conceived? They want to flee from the Town? Made trouble and went back?
  • (Changeling) No. There is no way to escape from here.

Day 3

  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Is this really so fatal? Yes, really.
  • (Haruspex) The illness is really infectious. Really? Is it necessary to doubt?
  • (Haruspex) So what? Is the illness really infectious? Really? Should we doubt?

Day 4

None

Day 5

  • (Haruspex) The commandant suited a senseless roundup. No blockhead was ever decorated by severity.
  • (Haruspex) But why is nobody buried? No creeping of carts, no noise of shovels on the cemetery?

Day 6

  • (Bachelor) Worms have found a sick bull on Raga Barrow. It is good.
  • (Haruspex) A lovely girl wanders somewhere here. Search for her. Search. It is known who of us covers the escape.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) The people who stay in rest survive. Should we worry?

Day 7

  • (Bachelor) They say young Burakh has made an impression upon the commissioner. Lines, lines, lines.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) What a clear head. It is interesting, what she will do to rescue this hulk?
  • (Haruspex) They say everything is allowed for the Inquisitors. Their power is limited by nothing.

Day 8

  • (Changeling) No, the Order will tell nothing to the Bachelor. They do not favor strangers.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Your Devotress talks haughtily. She knows something.
  • The Inquisitor continues her terrible harvest. Is she at least beautiful? A doll?

Day 9

  • (Haruspex) Clara wants to remove children from the stage. Why do they hamper her?
  • (Haruspex / Changeling) Children really have opened the Tower? But why?
  • (Changeling) Leave the children alone. Capella will not allow offending her adherents.

Day 10

  • (Haruspex) It seems to me Bos Turokh on the waste ground is a trap. A too obvious sign.
  • (Haruspex) This Devotress saves lives of the villains, and dooms the kids to death. But what does it mean?

Day 11

  • (Haruspex) Clara has convinced me to give my life for the execution of her plan. I could do nothing.
  • (Haruspex) The Bachelor has come to a conclusion that the whole Town needs to be destroyed. What a doctor.
  • (Changeling) The soldiers have risen against each other. The people say this is because of the bull.
  • (Changeling) Has come to pass. The new attendant has accepted the power of the Order.

Day 12

  • My branch was named 'The Land'. I could tell why the dense soil is not guilty of the happened catastrophe.
  • If people like me are enough, the Town remains the former. We shall devote ourselves to Clara. It is not a pity to give a soiled life to a new Mistress.

Pathologic Classic

General

  • He who distrusts himself is better off silent.
  • There's a hole under my heart.
  • What's wrong with my eyes?
  • Perhaps turning inside out will help?
  • Pins are sticking out of the pores of my skin.
  • It's better not to ask. Silence is golden.
  • Shabnak-adyr is tracing the streets like bacteria in a vein.
  • Lies always turn out to be true. Don't mess with Earth.
  • We frequently do good to enable us, with impunity, to do evil.

Day 1

  • (Bachelor) Why is the Termitary so loud? What are they celebrating?
  • (Bachelor) To tame his impertinence, Earth had disgorged a monster from deep within its bowels.

Day 2

  • (Bachelor) I hope the dead Mistresses don't enter the families' power struggle.
  • (Bachelor) Haruspex can't be stopped. Who is to become his companion?
  • (Haruspex) Changeling has forced the Olgimskys to stop the requisition. Hmm... the wretched creature is strong.
  • (Haruspex) Who is she? What's her goal?
  • (Changeling) What are the architect brothers up to? Escaping the Town? Made a mess and chickened out?
  • (Changeling) No. There's no escape from here.

Day 3

  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Is it really that deadly? Yes. It is.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Is the disease really contagious? Yes, it is, undoubtedly.

Day 4

None

Day 5

  • (Haruspex) It was a pointless manhunt by the governor. Ferocity doesn't make a blockhead smarter.
  • (Haruspex) Seriously? Why is no one being buried? No carts squeaking. No shovels rustling in the cemetery.

Day 6

  • (Bachelor) Worms have found a sick bull on the Ragi Barrow. That's good.
  • (Haruspex) That lovely girl is prowling somewhere near. Go ahead. Try to find her. Go ahead. You know who hides fugitives.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Only the calm survive. So why worry?

Day 7

  • (Bachelor) They say young Burakh has impressed the emissary. Lines, lines, lines.
  • (Haruspex) They say inquisitors can do anything. Their power is unrestricted.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Clever girl. I wonder what she'll do to save this carcass?

Day 8

  • (Changeling) Oh no. The Kin won't say anything to Bachelor. They have no respect for outsiders.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Your Changeling has a haughty attitude. Seems like she knows something.
  • The Inquisitor proceeds with her terrible harvest. Is she pretty, at least? Baby doll?

Day 9

  • (Haruspex) Clara wants to remove the children from the stage. Are they in her way?
  • (Changeling) Leave the kids alone. Capella won't let you bully her flock.
  • (Changeling / Haruspex) Have the children really unlocked the Tower? But why?

Day 10

  • (Haruspex) I think Bos Turokh in the Lot is a trap. Too obvious a sign.
  • (Haruspex) This Changeling... saves the lives of the villains. Condemns little kids to death. But why?

Day 11

  • (Haruspex) Clara has talked me into giving my life to fulfill her ambition. I couldn't have done anything.
  • (Haruspex) Bachelor came to the conclusion that the Town has to be destroyed. That's some healer.
  • (Changeling) Soldiers rose up against one another. They say it's because of the bull.
  • (Changeling) Finally. The new warden has assumed power over the Kin.

Day 12

  • My path was called 'Earth'. I could have told you why the thick soil has nothing to do with the catastrophe.
  • If there's enough people like me, the Town will stay the same. We'll surrender ourselves to Clara unregretted. A rotten life belongs to the new Mistress.

Pathologic 2

  • Gather round, Khatangher, gather round. September's here. Harvest time.
  • Twyre, grass, black soil… scents everywhere. The best people have… the best people are scents.
  • Words without deeds fill a garden with naught but weeds.
  • Debase yourself and beg, and you only invite denial…
  • Better a thimble of blood in the vein than a thousand gallons in the drain.
  • I see you in plain might.
  • Need you lean on my roots for strength?
  • Roots and blood. That is what fills our veins. Roots and blood.
  • Can you smell yesterday? I can.
  • The Foreman has hooves for feet… or so, I've been told.
  • I hope the dead Mistresses remain dead… we need neither Nina nor the Eagle Mother here.
  • Hm… the wretched creature is strong.
  • No! There is no escape.
  • Shapeless ghouls walk in stolen guises…
  • Kha?
  • Gue?
  • I feel the mothballs rattling inside my heart.
  • What's wrong with my eyes…?
  • Perhaps turning inside out will help?
  • Needles threading in and out of my pores…
  • Better not to ask. Silence is golden.
  • Deep beneath Earth's skin, everything is true and nothing is permitted. Defy her not.
  • Kharyysh! Bi khareeb, bodozho baynam.
  • Mendee, emshen. Meriyg medekh. Mededeg zurlaa…
  • Is it really that deadly? Yes. It is.
  • Clever girl! I wonder how she'll safeguard this carcass…
  • The Inquisitor proceeds with her terrible harvest… is she a pretty one, at least? A doll of bone china and rose gold…
  • Why does such shouting echo from the Termitary? What could they be celebrating…
  • Six years ago, everything was different. Four years ago, though, not so much.
  • Is it really that deadly? Yes. It is.
  • To tame his insolence, Earth disgorged a monster from deep within her bowels.
  • Begone, "sister." I pity you not.
  • You have an only child's cold eyes.
  • No. The Kin will tell him nothing. We're wary of outsiders.
  • Trudge on, human. Let go of foresight… you'll sight no weal ahead.
  • Yargachin… emshen… essegher… I see you plainly…
  • Make connections. Mend everything your father has torn. Even if he was right to tear it.
  • Bayarlaa, yargachin. Bayarlaa.
  • My path was called "Earth." I could have told you all why the black soil is not to blame for this catastrophe.
