Pathologic (2005)

General

  • Yes?
  • What?
  • The best way to be deceived is to consider yourself more artful than others.
  • The blood seems thickening. This is an ominous sign, right?
  • I hear rustling.
  • It's the end. I'll break down soon.
  • As if something pulls me against my will.
  • Who goes above there?
  • What gloomy autumn it is this year.
  • It's easier to show wisdom in someone other's affairs, than in your own.
  • We resist our passions not because we are strong, but because they are weak.

Day 1

  • (Bachelor) Probably, Olgimsky has prepared a trap for this newly appeared Haruspicus.
  • (Bachelor) I am afraid the death of Simon is a symbolical event.

Day 3

  • (Bachelor) Vlad is right. Whatever happens inside the Apary, it's better not to be open now.
  • (Bachelor) This illness is really as fatal as people say?
  • (Changeling) The Bachelor advises not to trust you, the inexplicable girl!

Day 5

  • (Bachelor) Saburov has arranged a senseless roundup. Yes, this is a duly commandant.
  • (Bachelor) Why is nobody buried? I was reported about some hundreds of people dead already.

Day 6

  • (Bachelor) How is it possible to take her memory from the Inner Chamber? Is Simon more necessary to us? This is not yet obvious.
  • (Bachelor) Someone has desecrated the crypts in the Stone Courtyard. Bastards!

Day 7

  • (Haruspex) She is sentenced. This is her last chance. This means she will play a malicious game and will not leave witnesses.
  • (Haruspex) The Bachelor is forgiven, though he has not found out the reason for this illness. But this does not speak about anything.

Day 8

  • (Bachelor) Does the famous Alexander Block command the militarians? Buh! This is madness.
  • (Bachelor) So Haruspicus is not the person of the house of the Olgimskys anymore? It is time to listen to Nina's voice.

Day 9

  • (Bachelor) If only they have not touched Polyhedron. They will not lay their hands on children. And Nina is silent.
  • (Changeling) What for do they need such a gun? For our small town, a smaller gun will fit.
  • (Bachelor / Changeling) I have enough force to hold her infinitely. Til Maria accepts the authority. But how long can Gregory [sic] keep the Memory of Simon?

Day 10

  • (Bachelor) The carcass on the waste ground is a provocation, this is not for us. But who has managed to make such a thing?
  • (Bachelor) The crazy people are already convinced that Simon has revived in Clara. Madmen. Just yesterday they persecuted her.
  • (Changeling) Is it possible to cross out all our history for the sake of the sterile safety?
  • (Changeling) You take upon yourself too much, girl. Or you are really able to work wonders?

Day 11

  • (Bachelor) The General will not hesitate any more. He will act, while he is able to control the situation.
  • (Bachelor) Capella has reconciled with Kasper to marry him in the future, and to suppress his will.

Day 12

  • My branch was called "The Mistress". I had to keep the memory of my wife for the Town.
  • To make Polyhedron work as before, I need to live some more time. And not for me, but for the sake of another's soul. Maria will arrange all the rest.

Pathologic Classic

General

  • Yes?
  • What?
  • The true way to be deceived is to think oneself more knowing than others.
  • I feel as though my blood is getting thicker. An omen, is it not?
  • There's buzzing in my ears.
  • That does it. I'm going to break soon.
  • It's like something is pulling my strings.
  • Who is it, walking upstairs?
  • Autumn is gloomy this year.
  • It is far easier to be wise for others than to be so for oneself.
  • If we conquer our passions, it is only from their weakness than from our strength.

Day 1

  • (Bachelor) Perhaps Olgimsky is setting a trap for this newly arrived Haruspex.
  • (Bachelor) I fear that Simon's death is a symbolic event.

Day 3

  • (Bachelor) Vlad is right. Whatever happens in the Termitary, it'll be ill-advised to open it now.
  • (Bachelor) Is this disease indeed as deadly as they say?
  • (Changeling) Bachelor advises against trusting you, inexplicable girl. You know that?

Day 5

  • (Bachelor) Saburov has started a pointless manhunt. Hmph! What a timely governor.
  • (Bachelor) Why is no one buried? I've seen a report that claims several hundred people were dead.

Day 6

  • (Bachelor) Shall we extract her memory from within the Focus, or do we need Simon more? The choice is not at all clear.
  • (Bachelor) Someone's desecrated the Stone Yard tombs, the scoundrels.

Day 7

  • (Haruspex) She is condemned. This is the only chance she's going to get. So she will play a wicked game, leaving no witnesses.
  • (Haruspex) Bachelor didn't find the source of the disease, yet he is forgiven. This doesn't explain much, though.

Day 8

  • (Bachelor) Are the troops really led by the famous Alexander Block? This is madness.
  • (Bachelor) So Haruspex is no longer Olgimsky's man? Time to heed Nina's voice.

Day 9

  • (Bachelor) Hopefully they wouldn't attack the Polyhedron. They won't dare touch the children, will they? And Nina is silent.
  • (Changeling) Why did they need a weapon this huge? For a Town like ours, a much smaller cannon would suffice.
  • (Bachelor / Changeling) I'm strong enough to hold her indefinitely. Until Maria comes into power. But how long can Georgiy cling to Simon's Memory?

Day 10

  • (Bachelor) The carcass in the Lot classifies as incitement, but we won't be provoked. Who could have done something like that?
  • (Bachelor) The crazed mob believes that Simon was reborn as Clara. Madmen. They were hounding her only yesterday.
  • (Changeling) Is it even possible to disregard years of our history in order to restore the sterility of safety?
  • (Changeling) You're overstepping your bounds, girl. Or can you truly work wonders?

Day 11

  • (Bachelor) The Commander will hesitate no longer. He'll act while he's still in control.
  • (Bachelor) Capella has made peace with Kaspar, so that she can marry him someday and subdue his will.

Day 12

  • My path was called "The Mistress". I should have held onto the memory of my wife for the Town.
  • I need to live some more for the Polyhedron to work as it used to; not for myself, but for another soul. Maria will take care of the rest.

Pathologic 2

  • Soot is more precious than fire. Fire fades, but soot feeds the earth.
  • Is this disease indeed as deadly as they say?
  • All of this is an… an optical illusion. In reality, this town looks completely different.
  • Why aren't they being buried? I've been told that several hundred people have died already.
  • A soul moves like a slow spring. The harder you stretch it, the faster it contracts when released.
  • This town… it's got too many reinforcement ribs.
  • If you look at the night sky from the roof of the Stillwater, you can see its true color.
  • You can ride a horse to battle, but you can't make it sergeant.
  • Chain a rock to your ankle, if you wish to see the bottom.
  • Will they attack the Polyhedron? They won't dare touch the children, will they?
  • The rabble believes Simon was reborn as that strange girl. What madmen… only yesterday, they despised her!
  • I'll sleep when I'm dead.
  • Ugh. A coward. Always been a coward. Oh, how I hate it…
  • Bachelor's advised me not to trust you, bizarre girl.
  • Ah. That weapon. Something smaller would have been sufficient for our little town.
  • With every breath, your soul drains slowly away… so just keep your mouth shut, and don't let it slip out.
  • Let's open the box carefully, and sum it all up.
  • Unless you really can work wonders, girl, you're overstepping your bounds.
  • Yes?
  • What?
  • My blood is getting thicker. That's a sign of something, isn't it?
  • There's a buzzing in my ears.
  • A hundred years…? No, no, too much. Forty? No. Not nearly enough…
  • It's like something is pulling my strings…
  • Is someone walking around upstairs?
  • Autumn is gloomy this year.
  • You're good. My little dove, my dove. Despite it all, you're good.
  • My path was called "The Mistress." I tried to anchor the memory of my unearthly wife here in this town.
