Corpse Blood is a quest item found in Pathologic that can be obtained on Day 3 by both the Bachelor and the Haruspex in their respective routes.

The Bachelor must obtain the Corpse Blood to complete the main quest "Enemy Unseen". Corpse Blood is retrieved from the corpse in the Cemetery guarded by three Patrolmen. It can be examined under the microscope in Rubin's Prosectorium to progress the quest. This removes it from the Bachelor's inventory.

Spoiler warning: Significant plot details follow.
When speaking to Rubin after examining it, the Bachelor concludes that the microorganism that produces the Sand Plague "does not linger in dead bodies." The Plague requires "warm blood, rich in oxygen, to survive." Additionally, he reveals that the bacterium kills the host by overloading the cardiac muscle, and the infected suffers a stroke.
Significant plot details end here.

The Haruspex can choose between obtaining Corpse Blood or obtaining another infected organ or infected blood for the Bachelor for the side quest "Dead Tissue". Corpse Blood can be retrieved from the corpse in the Cemetery that is guarded by one patrolman, after which it can be brought to the Bachelor.

Quote

This blood must be analyzed, although the current conditions make any thorough analysis impossible. There's a high chance it contains a sample of the harmful microorganism.
